Our little Ally Pally turned four Saturday! We can hardly believe it has been four years…It doesn’t seem that long ago that this tiny little one entered our lives. She has been such a joy, and we can’t imagine our lives without her.

At school on Friday, Allyson was the special person of the day. We got to make a scrapbook page of pictures showing her family and the things she loves. Well, if you know Allyson, you know she loves ALOT. Fortunately, we were able to fit many of those things on her page. Miss Linda, one of her teachers, said she did a super stupendous (one of Allyson’s favorite words) job explaining all of her pictures to everyone. She also passed out birthday bags to her classmates and got to share one of her favorite things. Of course, that was her dancing Pablo (one of the Backyardigans).

We had her birthday party this Saturday. It snowed and snowed and snowed Friday evening through late Saturday evening. We thought we might have to cancel the party, but we didn’t. Family and friends came to celebrate with Allyson on her special day. She had a great time. She did such a wonderful job opening gifts and thanking everyone. By the way, Benjamin was soooo good with everyone. He worked the room and played hard! He really is beginning to settle in now.

Final preparations for the holidays will fill the upcoming week. Santa has been busy….

BTW - We have 24 new photos to share this week

The best news is that Benjamin is sleeping in his own bed and he sleeps through the night! Lisa and I decided to put Benjamin in his own bed this week and he took right to it. It has been 5 straight nights and he has slept until almost 6:30 every day. Allyson has been doing great and she is getting excited about her birthday which is on the 15th. Other than that everyone in the house is feeling better!

This week we have two new movies and sixteen new pictures!

The Verdigets

Well this week started out with a bang, we were once again fighting the winter sicknesses. This week both Benjamin and Lisa caught whatever was going around. Benjamin had a 102 fever on Wednesday night and we ended up at the doctors on Thursday. The good news was it is just a cold and he is feeling much better today and back to making a mess all over the house. Lisa on the other hand got Benjamin’s cold on Thursday and she is just starting to feel better. Allyson and I went to a birthday party on Sunday for one of Allyson’s friends at school. Allyson had a great time and she even helped to sign happy birthday.

Here is some really great news, Benjamin slept through the night on Saturday. This is a first for us and we hope that is a start at getting some more sleep, because we need it.

I rolled the dice this morning  and was finally able to get the lights hung outside and the new 4 foot Santa inflatable globe setup. As soon as I had finished the rains can so I got lucky today.

And now the part I know everyone  is waiting for, we have six new photos this week and they are in the December folder (where has this year gone?)
